Check your stress level, heart rate and biological age with StressCam from Darta Systems LLC.

In just 2 minutes the StressCam app will determine your stress level, heart rate and biological age. It will help you to improve your health through respiratory training in biofeedback mode in which you control the depth of breathing.

StressCam measures three aspects of your health:
1. The level of stress. It is evaluated by the reaction of the heart rate to an increase in the activity of the sympathetic component of the autonomic nervous system. The algorithm is based on the analysis of heart rate variability (HRV). The level of stress is evaluated on a scale from 0 (excellent) to 10 (poor).
2. Biological age. This is a virtual evaluation of your state of health, which is not linked to your real age. It is calculated by analyzing the respiratory component of heart rate variability.
3. Heart rate (pulse rate).

THE STRESS MEASUREMENT PRINCIPLE
The heart rate provides information about our bodys response to various emotional and stressful events that constantly occur in your life. StressCam measures heart rate variability and calculates the stress level of the regulatory system on a stress scale from 0 (excellent) to 10 (very poor).

THE BIOLOGICAL AGE MEASUREMENT PRINCIPLE
StressCam contains a statistical model of the dependence of the depth of breathing on the persons age, which has a physiological basis.

BIOFEEDBACK TECHNOLOGY
Biofeedback is based on the ability of the body to consciously affect the heart rate by adjusting the depth and frequency of breathing. During biofeedback training StressCam continuously measures the heart rate and displays the inhalation and exhalation cycles with a predetermined breathing frequency. Depth of breathing measured by the pulse is used as feedback. During biofeedback training it is necessary to keep depth of breathing between "good" and "excellent."

MOTIVATORS
StressCam users receive virtual rewards as motivation. They are awarded for overcoming the various measurement and training stages, and the intensity of the measurement of their effectiveness.

HEALTH TRENDS
An important feature of StressCam is the ability to view changes over time. For example, you can view to degree to which heart rate and stress levels have changed over a month in the tag Morning Measurement. Be sure to add a tag to the measurement results and a brief comment, as this will help you remember the context of the measurement.

MEASUREMENT FREQUENCY
We recommend that you measure your stress level three times a day: in the morning when you wake up, in the afternoon before lunch, and in the evening. Daily measurements will allow you to observe the changes to your stress levels over the week and month. You can also measure stress levels during events of importance.

IMPORTANT
This app is available free of charge with full functionality 7 days after the app is downloaded. After that number of measurements is limited by 2 per day. You can lift the restrictions by making a payment from your account in iTunes.

To obtain reliable results when taking measurements try to limit your movements, and avoid any sudden changes in posture. To get the best signal gently press the finger pad on the camera lens. Do not push hard and do not take measurements in the cold because this pinches the capillaries and reduces blood flow.
